Recording Project - "No Doubt" by Steve Smith

My tunes were accepted, and when I was in Houston for SAMFest in 2004 I recorded some tracks at the studio of one of the producers. In late 2006 the completed effort was released, and while the version of my tunes as arranged and sung was very different than my original, they included my instrumental at the end to round out the effort.

To partly demonstrate the recording process, the following three versions of the tune are provided:

• original submission recorded at home on cassette
• a rough mix made during the recording session in Houston
• the final instrumental version

The name "No Doubt" was selected by the producers from the quotes set to music,

"There can be no doubt whatever that the peoples of the world, of whatever race or religion, derive their inspiration from one heavenly source, and are the subjects of one God," and "Consort with the followers of all religions in a spirit of friendliness and fellowship."

Just a bit different than my version, no?
